Initiated by PP Rtn. Swoyambhu with his funding for 30 units, a total of 125 units have been installed with international funding sources identified by him. Rotaracts are helping in monitoring the project. After the earthquake, problems have emerged affecting 93 units. After assessment of the damages, the club has recently started repairing them. Additional funding sources to be identified to provide bio gas plants for the entire 200+ household in the village.

Initiated with sustained funding by PP Rtn. Bibhuti Man Singh, the program has been expanded from ward 17 to ward 30, 29, Jaisideval and ward 21. Program to be continued with club funding.

Basic First Aid Training has been provided for several members of Rotaractor Club of Thames Int’l College, Interactor Club of JN Memorial School, Interactor Club of Annapurna H. School and students of Shanti Shiksha Mandir Secondary School, thereby creating a pool of volunteers equipped with appropriate first aid knowledge for active involvement during times of disaster.

Bhatte Danda Community Support Project

Initiated with SAGA charitable fund in 2007 with seed funding for 10 buffaloes. The local community multiplied to around 48 buffaloes benefiting 48 families. The beneficiaries have since expanded to other income generating activities like organic farming and home stay for tourists; and organized into a successful powerful women’s’ cooperative . The community leader, Mrs. Phul Maya Tamang has won national awards for leadership and contribution to the community. The Community has graduated to the Rotary Community Corps facilitated by RC Thamel. Mrs. Phul Maya Tamang, President, RCC Bhatte Danda is also active in Rotary District 3292.
